LeBron James

In the clip, LeBron jumps out in front of a pass and picks it off, then goes coast-to-coast and lays the ball in.  His momentum carries him into the stands, where he decides to grab a few fries from a fan’s lap.  Although the Cavs were not on their home court, the Thunder fans don’t seem to mind the opportunity to interact with James, with one kid even getting a high five from King James.

When he’s dancing around or talking trash to the opponents when they are up by 20, that is uncalled for and lacks a certain class.  This seems good-spirited though and fun for everyone involved.  Interactions with players are always fun (except for the Malice at the Palace of course) and there is no reason to condemn him for this one.  Hell, I would definitely share my fries with James, wouldn’t you?

The player of the game was none other then King James himself.  LeBron James scored a career playoff high 49 points and added 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the loss.  But even though the Cavaliers lost the game James was a monster and we had to make him “The Stat Line Of The Night” for Wednesday May 20th, 2009.

I don’t know about you but I cant wait till game 2.  This series is gonna be a nail bitter!!!!!

Magic stun Cavs to steal Game 1 despite LeBron’s 49 points – [SportsLine]

Footage was found a couple of days ago of LeBron and some other Cavs shirtless at the arena throwing up some prayers towards the basket.  After missing one shot from the ridiculous angle, King James drains the second and walks away with his arms raised.

How do you defend a guy who can hit shots like that.  While no one will ever have to worry about defending James’ attempts from beyond the court, the Magic will have their hands full with him within it.  I wonder if material like this makes the scouting reports?

In a bizarre remake of the chalk throwing pre-game rituals performed by King James, Nike has released footage of their new commercial which shows a puppet LeBron throwing chalk and rambling on about “post-season” and “Kobe Bryant“.  And his sidekick throughout the entire session is none other than puppet Kobe.  If we didn’t know better, it looks like a little something more is going on.  At the end, puppet James stands among the piles of chalk (or coke), saying he’s “just getting started.”  Judging by how hyper he is I’d say he’s well into doing whatever it is he is doing.

This is a rather funny commercial, all coke jokes aside.  But you have to wonder whether the people at Nike actually watched this and thought what most people are now thinking after seeing it.  Guess you just have to read between the ‘lines’ here, and hopefully puppet LeBron plans on setting on up for Kobe soon.  He seems like he could use a little boost.

At his MVP ceremony, King James showed that he does not care for rules, especially those that try to tell him how to dress.  Sporting sunglasses indoors, he was in violation of Rule three, which under excluded items states “Sunglasses while indoors” (NBA.com)

The real question here is can anyone blame the man for sporting the sunglasses?  I mean come on now.  With everyone snapping pics of the guy 24/7, maybe they are only precautionary to protect his eyes from the flashes.  Will David Stern have the guts to discipline him for the infraction?  Its a tough decision when the player involved is the face of the league.

It will be hard to believe that King James will ever leave his home town of Cleveland, where they will be able to offer him a max NBA contract.  Unlike other teams the Cavs will have the cap room to do this. The possibility of LBJ and DWade playing side by side is definitely possible, but work has to be done by the Knicks to free up the space to sign both these superstars.

They will demand top dollar from any team, so if the New York Knicks think they will be able to sign these 2 superstars they better start cleaning house now.  If these two ever play on the same team in the NBA, they should be referred to as LeWade.
