From the moment he came off the bench and stepped onto the court, fans at MSG let Humphries know exactly how they feel about him, his reality television career, and his previous relationship with Kim Kardashian, as they booed him upon his entrance, as well as every time he touched the ball. Luckily for him, he didn’t get his hands on the rock all that often during his 5:40 of playing time. And oddly enough, when Humphries made his return to the bench, the fans at MSG couldn’t help but chant, “We Want Humph!”

It was a strange scene inside MSG, and something tells me that the Kardashian’s are somehow at the bottom of this. Did they pay everyone in the building to give Humphries a hard time? Perhaps, but I guess we’ll never know for sure.

Here is a look at the fans in MSG booing Humphries throughout his first minute of playing time.

They honor him, but while they’ve got a lot of ex-players in their organization, they’ve never made any move to try to hire him. That to me is amazing.”

He also said that the fans love him, but the organization pretends to appreciate and like him, which is also ridiculous. Patrick Ewing is one of the faces of the Knicks organization history, and will always be known for what he did in Madison Square Garden. Many teams have tried to obtain him as a part of the coaching staff, and although I do not know if the Knicks made an attempt, but it doesn’t seem like they have. If the Knicks were intelligent enough, a move would have been made already, and Ewing would be an assistant coach.

Walsh, D’Antoni, whoever – get Ewing back to MSG, it’s where he belongs. The Knick fans would love to see him back home, he could help out the power forwards and future centers of the team and make them great, and he could be an overall force on the bench. Ewing would do wonders for the organization, so my recommendation is to get him back, and do whatever needs to be done to do it. Stan Van Gundy is right; it is shocking to see him somewhere else besides New York, so bring him back.

Sunday night, Lee was at Phillips Arena in Atlanta with actor Bill Murray watching the Hawks take on James’ Cavs. Murray was in town shooting a film. As for Spike? Maybe he was just looking for another sneak preview of what likely may be in a couple years.

After 5’7 Nate Robinson won the contest dressed up as Superman’s (or in this case Dwight Howard’s) Kryptonite, the NBA made plans to release t-shirts at NBA.com and the NBA Store. That was until DC Comics found out about it. The NBA decided to scrap that idea because of intellectual property issues with the comic giants.

As for the future, an NBA source had said the following about the launch of Krypto-Nate gear:

“The NBA decided not to release the Krypto-Nate T-shirt because of future initiatives we are working on with Warner/DC Comics.”

They did however release a knockoff edition that only displays his name, “Robinson”, and Slam Dunk Champion. Lets just say we’ll wait it out for “Krypto-Nate”.

Total Pro Sports – From an Illustrious playing career to the ill faded management positions, Thomas has had nothing go right for him. Isiah Thomas tried so hard to stay in the game, but positioning himself with the wrong teams left his career battered and bruised.

Hopefully this overdose was not a suicide attempt. We don’t want to remember Isiah Thomas as the former hall of fame basketball player who tried to killed himself. He should be remembered as the hall of famer who led the Pistons to the top of the NBA.

—————————————————————–

47-year-old man was taken to the hospital and treated for an accidental overdose of sleeping pills at the suburban home of former New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas, police said on Friday.

Police would not identify the victim, except to give his age. Thomas is 47. Harrison Police Chief David Hall said the case was not a suicide attempt.

CBS Station WCBS-TV in New York reported that the man who overdosed was, in fact, Thomas. The station cited unidentified sources in the report.

Madison Square Garden spokesman Barry Watkins told The Journal News newspaper, “Isiah is fine.” WCBS Radio reported that the call involved an “issue with sleeping pills.”

The Knicks had no comment. A message left with Thomas’ public relations agency wasn’t immediately returned.

An ambulance responded to a 911 call early Friday, and a person was taken to White Plains Hospital Center, about 5 miles from the home, Harrison Officer Vincent Lanzillotti said.

Late Friday afternoon, a small SUV escorted by a police car pulled into a private road leading to the luxury development in Westchester County where Thomas lives, about 30 miles from midtown Manhattan.

Thomas purchased the house on Azalea Circle in Purchase for more than $4 million in 2004, according to the Journal News.
