New Mexico Bowl Game Preview

Total Pro Sports – There were some high expectations for the Fresno State Bulldogs this year, a 7-5 record and a trip to the New Mexico Bowl was not it. Fresno State showed signs early in the season that they were a pretty good football team, even cracking or Top 25 College Football Power Rankings once this year. However, their lack of consistency toward the latter part of the season really hurt their chances of earning a bigger bowl game. Coach Hill, a great motivator, has his job cut out for him as he tries to rally his team for this New Mexico Bowl game.

The Colorado State Rams on the other hand are just glad to have earned a bowl bid. In a must win in their final game of the year the Rams traveled to Wyoming and beat the Cowboys 31-20. The New Mexico Bowl will be in the hands of quarterback Billy Farris for the Rams, if Farris has a good game through the air, Colorado State will be able to put up enough points to keep up with the Bulldogs. This may also be the last game that the Bulldogs play under coach Pat Hill, this may have an influence on the outcome of this one.

New Mexico Bowl Game Prediction

The Colorado State Rams are definitely happy to be in the New Mexico Bowl. The Fresno State Bulldogs on the other hand may have other issues on their mind, they ended the season with a devastating 61-10 loss to the Boise State Broncos, and a 48 point second half will still be on their mind. The Bulldogs do not seem to be responding to their coach and these issues are tough to overcome in preparation for any bowl game.
