This dude found that out the hard way, as he was able to make it over the fence, but so were the cops, who quickly tackled him and ended his moment of glory.

While in Maryland for a free football camp on Monday, Arizona Cardinals’ defensive end Darnell Dockett was stopped by police for speeding in his Cadillac Escalade.  Rather than give Dockett a ticket for driving over the speed limit (an accusation Dockett claims was false), the officers seemed more interested in searching his vehicle.  However, Dockett knows better than to allow officers to enter his car without reasonable cause.  That resulted in a stalemate between the two parties.

Thankfully Dockett was able to occupy himself for the next two hours by providing updates to his Twitter followers during the entire incident.  You can check it out below.

After losing the first leg of their two-legged relegation playoff 2-0, River Plate needed a convincing victory on Sunday, but they would fall well short of that goal, managing only a draw.  That resulted in their relegation to Argentina’s second division, causing fans to hurl objects at the players.  Police responded by turning the fire hoses on the rowdy fans.

The violence then spilled outside Monumental Stadium, as the Argentine people did their best to show Vancouver citizens how real hooligans riot.  Fearing the worst, nearly 2,200 police were deployed to control what was expected to be a rowdy crowd, but despite their greatest efforts, the River Plate fans were still able to light bins and vehicles on fire and loot stores in downtown Buenos Aires.  Police responded by firing rubber bullets and tear gas at those causing the chaos.  In the end at least 55 people, including 35 officers, were injured in the madness.

Sure, this dude’s hometown team just lost Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and now he has to wait at least another year before Vancouver wins their first Championship in franchise history, but just because his Canucks weren’t winning last night, it doesn’t mean he wasn’t!

He definitely has the right idea.  Chicks just aren’t into all that macho, overly-aggressive rioting stuff.  So while all those morons are flipping cars, breaking sh*t and setting stuff on fire, he plays it cool and just picks up chicks and finger-blasts them in the middle of the street.  Well played sir.

For all those who are still angered by what they saw in Vancouver last night, this clip might help put a smile on your face.

So with plenty of police waltzing around with nothing to do, they decided to get in on the fun by playing some horse-back basketball.

Isn’t it amazing how cops are capable of making something as cool and fun as horse-back basketball seem so boring and serious?  How about a fist pump, or a backboard shattering reverse slam for the fans?

I wonder what it would be like to be pulled over by Officer Mike Tyson.  One the one hand, I would gladly pay the $80 fine, if it meant the opportunity to meet the former heavyweight champion during a one-on-one encounter.  However, there is always the possibility that Iron Mike could acquire the “prick cop on a power trip” syndrome once he puts that uniform on.  And the last thing I would want to run into is a mean Mike Tyson.

Tough call here.  I’m still up in the air on this one.

Evans was eventually stopped by police and arrested at gunpoint.  He has since pleaded no contest to reckless driving charges, was sentenced to 80 hours of community service, and had his license suspended for 30 days.

The incident was recorded by a helicopter and has since been released by the California Highways Patrol for our viewing pleasure.

With many of the world’s leading politicians set to touch down in Toronto this week for the G20 Summit, police in the downtown area were out on their horses looking for any suspicious activity.  But that wasn’t all they were looking out for.  Not even the task of maintaining a safe and secure area for the likes of Barack Obama and Tony Blair, amongst others, was enough to pull these officers away from the big screen during an intense World Cup match between Mexico and Uruguay.

Safety is always an issue at the G20 Summit.  As a result, Toronto is expected to spend close to $1 billion of taxpayers money on security.  Isn’t it nice to see where our paychecks are really going?
