Kobe Bryant Celebrates Championship In Newest Nike Puppet Commercial

Total Pro Sports – Many wondered what would happen to the Kobe Bryant and LeBron James puppet commercials once the hopes of the two squaring off in the finals were squashed by the Orlando Magic. Not only has Nike continued to promote the rivalry, but they have done a great job at making sense of it all. So mush so that even after the conclusion of the NBA playoffs, the clips keep on coming.

This edition has Kobe Bryant celebrating his fourth ring to the tune of Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It.” As he dances through the hall, confetti flying, Kobe sings his praises, that is until he gets into the kitchen where LeBron is eating. After exchanging hellos, Kobe continues his celebrating in another room. Sad part is LeBron can see it all happen. Motivation for next year perhaps?

This commercial of the two NBA superstars ranks right up there with their babysitting of lil’ Dez. One could only imagine what an x-rated version of their newest adventures would sound like. I’m guessing King James tells Kobe to “shut the f*ck up.” Kobe probably wouldn’t mind LeBron bringing all that coke back either.

Jimmy Kimmel Pokes Fun At Nike Puppet Commercials

Total Pro Sports – Just when the popularity of the Nike puppet commercials were becoming larger than life, the Orlando Magic had to come along and ruin the fun. Now what are we supposed to make of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James’ adventures with Lil’ Dez, not to mention the X-rated version of their babysitting episode. Well thankfully Jimmy Kimmel has a solution that just may work.

Rather than continue to try and force-feed viewers into accepting Kobe and LeBron, Kimmel came up with a new version. Meet the Dwight Howard puppet. It may not have arms, legs, a nose, or many other features that you would expect, but it sure is him, or at least that’s who they say it is.

Shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live, this parody is hilarious. Kobe even remarks as to how sick Howard looks. Dwight’s response to that is, “Oh, because I don’t have arms.” Ya Dwight, that just might be it. Or maybe it was when your eyeball fell off, or when you refused to dance because you don’t have legs.

We here at TPS think Kimmel may be on to something. Our suggestion? That Nike get on this train quickly before its too late. With the Lakers up 2-0 in the series, it may be over earlier than expected. Thankfully Kimmel already has a Dwight Howard puppet ready to go.

Kobe And Lebron Now Babysitting Lil’ Dez In New Commercial

Total Pro Sports – Maybe Nike should have saved some of the Kobe Bryant and LeBron James puppet commercials for next year, when they may actually be useful. Instead, we now have the newest edition of the most over-hyped rivalry to never be played out.

This time around, Kobe and LeBron are babysitting Mrs. Lewis’ son, Lil’ Dez. He has many questions to ask the two NBA superstars, but maybe he should have questioned all they hype around the match-up that just wasn’t meant to be. Kobe Bryant was able to fend off a tough Denver Nuggets team, but LeBron James and his Cavs couldn’t do the same with the Magic.

“Hey LeBron. What happened?” Maybe we can expect that question to be added to the next commercial. As for now, at least James will have plenty of time to babysit Lil’ Dez while Bryant is off to the finals.
