Wayne was on the receiving end of eight of Colts’ quarterback Dan Orlovsky’s 23 completions, as he compiled a total of 106 receiving yards and one touchdown during Indy’s 19-16 upset victory over the Texans.  That isn’t necessarily what we would consider to be a monster statline, but it was an impressive performance from a receiver that has had his fair share of struggles this season, and it was enough to help his team earn the victory.  As a result, Wayne earns our “Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, December 22, 2011.

Here is a look at some wide receivers that will bring your team a fantasy football championship:

 

 

1. Randy Moss

Moss is one half of the best fantasy football combination in the league. He is coming off one of the best seasons for a wide receiver in the history of the NFL and should continue to produce monster numbers for the Pats. He should be the first WR off the board in most draft formats.

2. Terrell Owens

Dallas is going to have one of the best offenses in the league this year and T.O. will benefit from it by catching his fair share of touchdowns. Owens has long been considered one of the premier receivers in the league and even though he is getting older he continues to get open and make defenders look slow.

3. Reggie Wayne

As the uncertainty around the status of Marvin Harrison continues to grow Reggie Wayne looks to solidify his role as the Colts number 1 receiver. Wayne and Manning make up the second most potent combination in league and look to continue their solid play.

4. T.J. Houshmandzadeh

Chad Johnson is no longer the best receiver in Cincinnati and T.J. will prove once again this year why he is the man. He has been a favorite target of Carson Palmer as he has proved to be a great in the red zone. T.J. should be a welcomed player to any fantasy team as he continues to show that he is one of the top wide outs in the entire league.

5. Braylon Edwards

Edwards had a breakout season last year as he and Derek Anderson took the league by storm. Edwards is finally showing the NFL why he was a top 5 pick and he will look to continue his success this season. He should be a high pick in season formats and should go even higher in keeper league draft.
