That was the question that we all wanted to see answered, and we got exactly what we were looking for in the latest edition of Shaq Vs.

Surprisingly, Shaq would come out on top in this freestyle dance-off competition, and with a basketball match against Biebs up next, you would think the big man was all but guarenteed to go 2-for-2.  Think again.

I must give credit where credit is due.  That Bieber kid sure can play some ball, but that is still no excuse for Shaq.  He is a 7-foot-1 monster playing against little tweens.  He should be rejecting everything that comes near that damn basket.  It is almost as if he enjoys losing these battles, but I guess when you have four NBA Championship rings around your fingers, a little losing never hurts.

Shaq faced off against Phelps, and as expected this one would end like all of his previous competitions, in a loss.  The Cavs’ center was impressive however, as Phelps was barely able to beat him to the line, taking the race by only 0.17 seconds.

So once again, Shaq, as the loser, would be forced to undergo some sort of embarrassing initiation.  This time, rather than a pink speedo, it was a pink shower cap which also dawned a pink flower (sounds like they are running out of ideas).  The Big Diesel would wear the feminine piece of swim attire as he joined a group of young female synchronized swimmers in the pool, but before trying any moves, he would have to make a grand entrance.

The crowd asked for it and Shaq delivered, and if I may say so, that was one big-ass canon ball.  It wouldn’t surprise me to hear that the pool needed to be refilled with water after he got out.

Now with his own television show, “Shaq Vs.” he has been getting the opportunity to put his money (or in this case, his pink Speedo) where his mouth is.  Although he has yet to take on the likes of Lance Armstrong or B.Manley, it seems as though he may have already met his match.

In the second episode of the show, Shaq took on Olympic beach volleyball gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh in a 2-on-2 game at their own sport.  As for his partner, Shaq would have an Olympic gold medalist of his own, Todd Rogers, but after losing the first two sets, he changed things up and went with Walsh’s husband, Casey Jennings, in an effort to get into his opposition’s head.  Needless to say, that did not change his luck.  His team would go on to lose three straight sets.

And for the loser, there is always the humiliating punishment.  In this case, I would say the humiliation was on Shaq, but the punishment was on all of us who had to watch him make his way down the sandy beach with a rather large but skimpy pink Speedo.  And to top things off, his name was printed on the back.  Guess they kinda saw that one coming.

I wouldn’t be surprised if fellow executive producer Steve Nash came up with that one.  Revenge sure is sweet.
