The point is this: at end of this sexy reporter’s interview with (now former) CD Saprissa player Wilson Munoz on the field at a Costa Rican soccer game, she asks him for an autograph. Then she hands him a pen, unzips her pants, pulls them down, and points her thong-clad rear end at the guy. Flabbergasted, he politely declines, gives her a peck on the cheek (the one on her face), and bids her farewell.

Of course, after Munoz leaves, the sexy reporter becomes the story, and is immediately interviewed by other reporters. I don’t speak spanish, but from what I can tell, she generously offers to reenact the entire encounter.

So now the ethical question of the day. Wilson Munoz: gentleman or idiot?

While reporting on the victory in Tuscon, Arizona, disaster nearly struck as an SUV was only inches away from reversing into Higgins and crushing the reporter on live television.

With his back turned to the car, Higgins’ report on the Aztecs’ victory was briefly interrupted as his camera operator quickly stepped in front of the vehicle and hit it hard enough to alert the driver of their presence before any damage could be done.

The incident occurred just before the report cut to highlights from the game, and when they did come back to Higgins for his round-up, he claimed to be, “back live here at Tuscon, just barely.”  I’d say that is a fairly accurate report.

The English press made a big deal about her being the cause of Spain’s loss to the Swiss, but it was much ado about nothing.  Casillas couldn’t have been too distracted as he led Spain to their first-ever World Cup championship.  Her mushy kiss with the Spanish goalie also garnered some attention around the world.  Sara Carbonero seemed a bit squeamish after Casillas planted a few smooches on her at the end of the interview, but it’s not like she reports on the war or the heinous atrocity known as the BP oil spill. Who cares? Everyone knew about them anyway.

Right at the beginning of the video, you can see a hand come out and try to push the strange spectator out of the picture, but then the camera begins to roll and its too late.  I don’t know how we’ve gotten this far into this story without mentioning that crazy mole that is literally in the reporter’s mouth.  How was he not distracted by this?  In a world where fans do all kinds of crazy things to get on camera, like being tossed up in the air during a victory parade, this fans subtle approach was hilarious.

Also, I wonder what the in-studio guy says as it cuts back to him towards the end of the clip.  It seems like he’s trying not to laugh about the crazy mole-man, but I’m not fluent in whatever crazy language that is (not to offend anyone, I’m just limited to English is all).

Everything about that guy in the background is goofy from his silly smirk to his crazy mole.  It’s not like its some guy way off behind the reporter either, the spectator literally has his chin resting on the reporter’s shoulder!  If there was an award for focus in reporting, I think I’ve got a nomination.

Total Pro Sports – Life as a reporter may seem easy at times, but it can also have its rough moments.  Being bombarded by college kids, having your chords pulled, getting yelled at by a mother, or even embracing a dry hump are all very real possibilities.

In order to survive as a reporter, patients is needed, and Lubos Rossi has a whole lot of it.

While giving a live television report, fans from Serbian soccer club, Red Star Belgrade, noticed a camera and decided to get themselves some face time.  Free of any rowdiness, they did manage to put on quite the show.  One individual gives Rossi some hand-made antlers, another tries to get him to wear his sunglasses, and best of all is the guy who just poses with his arm around the reporter and a smile on his face.

We applaud Rossi for his composure, although we are never disappointed when treated to a news report gone bad.

Total Pro Sports – It’s remarkable the damage one nude amateur video can cause to a single person.

Erin Andrews, sideline reporter for ESPN, was recently exposed in a peephole video taken by an unknown individual while she was naked in her hotel room.  As if her privacy hadn’t been invaded enough in that single instance, she is now drawing even more attention from the media, sports fans, and everyone else who is interested in hot blonds with great bodies.

It is now fair to say that such exposure has been taken overboard as she was recently forced to call 911 after a couple of individuals were spotted stalking her outside her home.

The emergency call has been retrieved by TMZ and is making its way around the internet much like the original peephole video that caused this whole mess.  While we all enjoy covering everything that has anything to do with Erin Andrews (eating pulled pork sandwiches or a five second camera shot of an ass just isn’t interesting without her), I must admit that after listening to the recording of her call I can now sympathize with her and what she is going through.  After all, she is “being treated like Britney Fucking Spears,” as stated by Erin herself.

Contrary to what Jason Whitlock may have you believe, I would object to the notion that our previous obsession with this beauty of the sporting world has caused all the resulting damage.  When Erin is out covering sporting events, she is well aware that the world is watching.  Yes, we are going to comment on how a particular outfit makes her body look great, or how her chin looks great after taking a foul ball off it.  There is no harm in such statements.  In fact, most would be flattered to hear such.  It is when individuals act on such fantasies that problems arise.

Let’s face it.  The man who taped the incident was a pervert, and has invaded the privacy of many other women who have not been covered by us sports bloggers (the man who videotaped the incident and put up the clip had many other movies of random women on his site as well).  The two creeps waiting outside Erin’s house have issues.  Please don’t attribute their stupidity to this or any other blog that has written something on Erin Andrews.

What I am trying to say here is that a video of a woman in private came out when it shouldn’t have.  Some people who should not have seen it did.  It is a shame (and I’m sure ESPN and Andrews’ lawyers are still on the case), but can we move one?  Although beautiful and famous, Erin is a person with a family and a life.  Perhaps the same can not be said about those who continue to stalk her in front of her house, but can they at least find someone else to bother?  May I suggest Britney Spears?

Caught on live TV, sports reporter Pat Tomasulo was playing some basketball with the young child when he posted him up, slammed the ball through the rim, then proceeded to taunt the little guy.  Poor kid was left in tears and ran to his father crying.  Good thing dad was a nice guy, else Pat could have had his life threatened like a certain Mexican reporter did by Randy Orton.

As Pat was ridiculed by his fellow reporters back at the news station, the kids mom picked her child up, made him slam dunk the ball, then rubbed it back in Pat’s face.  At least he was able to watch his language through the whole thing.  Roger Millions may want to take notes.

It was a rather odd moment, but a funny one if you ask me.  Pat Tomasulo would even go on to talk about how good the dunk made him feel, and how young children are soft these days.  I agree Pat.  That young boy will be met with many disappointing events throughout his life, like being told a sports reporter is at your house, only to see Tomasulo rather than Erin Andrews or Heidi Watney.  He has to start learning to deal with it sometime.

The voting took place online at Playboy’s website where users could vote on 30 of the Sexiest Female Sportscasters.  On January 23rd the vote got down to 5 finalists Charissa Thompson (Big Ten Network/Fox), Molly Sullivan of the Mountain West Sports Network, Lauren Shehadi of CBSSports.com, Bonnie Bernstein of ESPN and Erin Andrews of ESPN.

Unfortunately we voted for Charissa Thompson twice who ended up making the final 5 but losing to Erin Andrews.  With the amount of media coverage and online coverage that Erin Andrews receives it was difficult for anyone on the list of 30 to compete with her. But next year we are going to be giving our vote to Ines Sainz.

A loyal TPS reader tipped me off about a video of hers on YouTube. Check it out, I think you will enjoy it.  I really can’t understand what she is saying because she is speaking Spanish, but sometimes that is better.
