After describing the smell of the ESPN studios as “Blackened Chilean Seabass with mango on the side,” Dwayne was quick to tell us all what we already knew…

“That’s bullsh-t.”

Moments later he came to the realization that he was on live television, but by that time the damage had already been done.

The poem turned out to be a hit.  Unfortunately (unless you’re a Pats fan), we can’t say the same for Tebow and his Broncos, who were outmatched by Brady and the Patriots’ high-powered offense during their 41-23 loss at Mile High Stadium.  But don’t let that stop you from enjoying the following clip.

But one question we may have never stopped to ask ourselves is how do women really feel about jumbotron marriage proposals?

SportsCenter recently had that very same question in mind, and the result was one of their best commercials yet.  Check it out.

Therefore, it is rather surprising to see ESPN’s SportsCenter advertise the upcoming Women’s World Cup with a commercial of one of their anchors diving after being bumped at their office in Bristol.  Is this supposed to get me excited about women’s soccer?  If it is, it isn’t working.

The University of Bridgeport did just that, albeit with less than a minute remaining in a blow-out victory.

Rather than simply run out the clock with just over 40 seconds remaining and a 96-59 lead, Bridgeport had enough time to score on two monster slams off the fast break, the first of which included a pass off the backboard.  That would make the score 100-59, and send the crowd into a frenzy.

Judging by the reaction from the fans, you would think they had just won free pizza for reaching the century mark.

Alex Ovechkin

The exposure continued this week when ESPN began airing this SportsCenter commercial, which features Ovechkin and Caps goaltender Semyon Varlamov working as Russian spies.  Perhaps they are looking for the secret to Canadian hockey supremacy in time for the Sochi Olympic Games in 2014.

Brian Westbrook

“I look forward to a future of worshiping the prostate of Howard Stern.”

That was the response a fake Westbrook from The Howard Stern show,  gave to ESPN analyst Scott Van Pelt during a late night interview on Sportscenter.  However, after the amount of concussions that Westbrook has sustained over the past year, it wouldn’t surprise me to hear that was in fact him on the phone saying such things.

With just under two seconds left in the game and the score 95-95, Harris fouled 76ers forward Andre Iguodala to put him at the line.  After missing the first free throw, Iguodala hit the second putting Philly up by one.  That’s when Harris used his “miracle performing” ability.  He caught the inbound pass, carried the ball along the baseline to half court where he appeared to have it stripped away by Iguodala.  He regained possession, JUST got the shot off, and hit nothing but net.  The play was reviewed and it counted.  Harris finished with a game-high 39 points and had the following to say about his shot after the game:

“When I saw it go in I didn’t think it was good because the first reaction I got from the referees was that it was no good, so it was hard to get excited…but it was a good feeling [when they told me it counted].”

As for the 76ers, well lets just say they saw it a different way.  At least a disgruntled Andre Miller did:

“It was no good, I mean, we all know that. We can’t sit and argue it and risk the consequences of talking about it. It’s over now…I guess that’s just how our season has been going.”

Apparently Miller isn’t much of a fan of the refs or technology.  Harris earned himself a spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter Highlight of the Night thanks to the play.  You think Stuart Scott was liking it?
