Usually a punch like that would earn the 17-year-old Sefton a spot on our “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night.” Unfortunately, this fight is from a March 1st game, and we didn’t find it until now. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying the following clip.

Sources say that Oshawa Generals’ defenseman Michael Del Zotto, a first round pick of the New York Rangers, is part of the trade package going to London.

The Knights were not the only team interested in the services of the soon to be first overall pick in this year’s NHL Entry Draft. The Windsor Spitfires, Brampton Battalion and Sudbury Wolves wear among these teams.

Tavares has 26 goals and 54 points this season. The Oakville, Ontario native remains among the leading scorers in the Ontario Hockey League even though he missed a month of action with the national junior team.

London already has the leagues second best offence and there’s no doubt the addition of Tavares will make them that much better. It’s gonna be scary to see John Tavares on the ice with the Knights, we can’t wait.

Here are some quick stats you need to know on John Tavares.

In 2005, John Tavares was granted special permission to be selected in the OHL Priority Draft when he was just 14-years-old. He went on to score 45 goals in 65 games with the Generals. The following season, he scored 72 goals and had 134 points with a +25 rating. Last season, Tavares racked up 118 points in 59 games and 16 points in 15 playoff games.

Is their any doubt now that he is now the #1 prospect in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft? NHL teams are drooling over the World Junior Tournament he just had. This Oakville native is gonna be a star.

What a player!
