Now, there are a lot of things that can make a Super Bowl commercial bad. It might be too corny or too serious; too bizarre or too boring; too racist or too sexist; too many talking dogs or too few. Or maybe the product or service being advertised is just plain dumb.

But why am I explaining this? You know a stupid Super Bowl commercial when you see it. So let’s just jump right in.

Everybody loves the Super Bowl. Actually, a few people don’t, but they’re all terrorists and communists. After all, what’s not to like? It’s a great excuse to party with friends, get drunk, and eat junk food. And even if you could care less about the game itself, the commercials are usually pretty entertaining. Sure, they’re designed to sell you a lot of useless sh*t, but so what. Being subjected to a shameless marketing campaign is a small price to pay for video of a guy getting hit in the nuts with a beer bottle.

In case you missed the big game, here are the eleven best commercials. And for good measure, we’ve also thrown in the six worst. Why? Because you can’t have a rainbow without the rain.

Volkswagen: The Force

This one was leaked early, so it wasn’t a surprise. But any ad that features the “Imperial March” should make the cut.

NFL – Best Fans Ever

Some people might not like this add. Those people are heartless b@stards. Plus, I’m a sucker for nostalgia.

Groupon – Tibet

While I may be a sucker for nostalgia, I’m an even bigger sucker for cultural insensitivity. As such, I loved this Groupon ad. Kudos to Timothy Hutton for having some balls.

Career Builder – Parking Lot

Monkeys are funny. End of story.

Chevy Cruze – Misunderstanding

Old people are funny. End of story.

Audi – Release the Hounds

Kenny G, Afghan Hounds, a Dodo Bird. This ad had it all.

Pepsi Max – First Date

So simple, yet so true.

Snickers – Richard Lewis Lumberjack

Richard Lewis as a lumber jack is a funny concept on its own. Throw in Rosanne getting pummeled, and you’ve got comedy gold.

Doritos – House Sitting

This ad made me miss my grandpa. He’s still alive, but it’s not like I’m going to waste my minutes calling him.

Doritos – The Best Part

This ad was borderline creepy, and mildly arousing. What, was I the only one? Don’t judge me.

Bridgestone – Reply All

This ad falls into the “We’ve all been there” category. That’s why it works so well.

How can a sports fan not love this day?

The Super Bowl, all the gambling that goes on during the game, the food, the beer and those spectacular Super Bowl Commercials that companies pay $1 billion for a 30 second ad spot (Just Kidding).

The animal rights group PETA have gone public with their proposed Super Bowl ad which has been turned down and asked to be reedited because it is to sexual.  The ad by PETA which is named “Veggie Love” shows beautiful almost naked models, fondling their favorite vegetables in a seductive way. I truly enjoyed the part where one of the models was playing with the 10″ zucchini (This didn’t happen, but it would have been funny if it did!)

NBC has said that, “it depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards.”

They have also asked PETA to remove the following from the commercial and be resubmitted for approval.

• licking pumpkin
• touching her breast with her hand while eating broccoli
• pumpkin from behind between legs
• rubbing pelvic region with pumpkin
• screwing herself with broccoli (fuzzy)
• asparagus on her lap appearing as if it is ready to be inserted into vagina
• licking eggplant
• rubbing asparagus on breast

After watching the commercial and reviewing it many times (We watched it at least 20 times for research purposes) we still can’t find the part where NBC says the model is screwing herself with broccoli and the asparagus on her lap appears as if it is ready to be inserted into the vagina.

NBC needs to lighten up because the last time I checked sex with vegetables is the safest kind and these day maybe more people should be trying it out.
