Both Gronk and Patriots tackle Matt Light were in attendance for the post-game loser party, which featured performances by LMFAO, Maroon 5 and Steven Tyler, among others.  And rather than sitting alone in a corner thinking about the opportunity their team had blown hours earlier, they decided to drown their sorrows away with a healthy combination of booze and dancing.

If only Gronk had been moving this well on the field, the Vince Lombardi Trophy likely would have been in attendance during this Patriots post-game party.

One can only image that there were thousands of bandwagoners among the nearly one million fans that gathered along the streets of Manhattan earlier today to celebrate the Giants’ Super Bowl XLVI win over the New England Patriots.  We spotted one of them in the video below.

Sounds like someone’s going to be disappointed when they find out that Mark Sanchez won’t be attending this year’s Super Bowl parade in New York.  And no, we are not talking about Rex Ryan.

During Media Week at Lucas Oil Stadium, the lovely host of Extra, Maria Menounos, explained to Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski a Super Bowl bet she had agreed to with her correspondent, A.J. Calloway.  According to Maria, the bet called for her to do Monday’s show in a Giants bikini if they beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

Many of us couldn’t help but be intrigued by the prospects of seeing Maria in a bikini.  That includes Gronk himself, who at the time stated, “at least there’s a positive if we lose.”  Well Gronk and the Patriots did go on to lose to the Giants, so one can only hope that he was able to take advantage of that “positive” by tuning into yesterday’s episode of Extra and catching the following sight of Maria reporting from Times Square in her skimpy little bikini.

Being one of the many who bet on the Patriots on Sunday, I can honestly say that this makes losing all of that money well worth it.

And in case that wasn’t enough, here are some more images of Maria in a Giants bikini for you to ogle.

While making a guest appearance during the singing of Madonna’s newest single, “Give Me All Your Luvin,” M.I.A. put some extra emphasis into her line, “I’mma say this once, yeah, I don’t give a sh-t,” by giving the one-finger-salute to the worldwide audience.

Many viewers have voiced their displeasure over the incident, and the NFL and NBC have since issued an apology.  But let’s be serious for a second.  Is this really that big of an issue?  I’m not sure how you feel about the gesture, but in the words of M.I.A herself, “I’mma say this once, yeah, I don’t give a sh-t.”

Now, there are a lot of things that can make a Super Bowl commercial bad. It might be too corny or too serious; too bizarre or too boring; too racist or too sexist; too many talking dogs or too few. Or maybe the product or service being advertised is just plain dumb.

But why am I explaining this? You know a stupid Super Bowl commercial when you see it. So let’s just jump right in.

So what was Gisele’s response to the chants of “Eli Rules” and “Eli owns your husband”?

“You have to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball.  My husband cannot f*&king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.  I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

It sounds like the Patriots receivers can forget about Gisele hooking them up with any of her supermodel friends for the time being.

Manning would complete 30 of his 40 pass attempts for 296 yards and one touchdown.  Five of those pass completions helped set up Ahmad Bradshaw’s rushing touchdown with under one minute to play, which put the Giants ahead by a score of 21-17.  Fifty-seven seconds later Eli Manning was hoisting his second Lombardi Trophy.  He would also be named the game’s MVP, and he earns our “Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, February 5, 2012.

One of the great things about the Super Bowl is that there are so many betting options for the game that don’t require you to have even an ounce of football knowledge.  Not sure which team will walk away with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, or whether the final score will yield in excess of 55 points?  Having trouble figuring out which player has the best chance to win the MVP award, or whether there will be a field-goal over 45 yards?  If your lack of gridiron expertise has you scratching your head at any of the above questions, you may want to forget about betting on the actual game and consider laying your money on a few of the following Super Bowl XLVI prop specials.

Here are ten of the most interesting ones we could find, along with how we think they will unfold.

1.  What will the coin toss land on?
Line: Heads and Tails both -110
Analysis:  The NFC has won the past 14 Super Bowl coin flips.  So what will Giants’ team-captain Zak DeOssie be selecting when he leads his team to the center of the field prior to Sunday’s big game?  According to reports, he will be putting all of his eggs in the “tails” basket, and we think you should too.  The last time tails has come up in a Super Bowl coin toss was when the Patriots and the Giants last met in 2008.  Can we expect to see some Deja Vu?  I’d say so.

2.  How long will it take Kelly Clarkson to sing the National Anthem?
Line:  1 minute 34 seconds
Analysis:  Last year it took Christina Aguilera 1:54 to get through her entire rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.  We all know that Christina likes to add a couple of extended notes every now and then, but what singer doesn’t?  I wouldn’t bet on Kelly Clarkson surpassing Christina Aguilera’s mark from a year ago, but I do expect her to hold some of those notes for long enough to put her over the 1:34 mark.

3.  How many times will Peyton Manning be shown on TV during the game?
Line: 3.5
Analysis:  Now we should remind you that this prop takes place from the opening kick-off to the final whistle and does not include halftime.  It also does not include any taped pictures or past videos.  With that being said, we all know that there will be plenty of buzz surrounding the (former?) Colts quarterback, as the game is being played in his home stadium, his brother will be quarterbacking the New York Giants, and there has been plenty of reports surfacing throughout the week regarding his future in the NFL.  That may have you believing that Peyton will get plenty of attention, and thus, plenty of television facetime, but seeing as how this is the Super Bowl, I expect NBC to place more focus on the players actually playing the game, rather than those sitting in the stands.  I say we get to see Manning a total of three times.
Our Pick: Under 3.5

4.  How many times will Giselle Bundchen be show on the TV?
Line: 0.5
Analysis:  First, we should note that the same rules apply here as the previous prop regarding Peyton Manning’s television appearances.  Now with that being said, I want you to sit down and think about the following for a second:  How many times have you seen Giselle being shown on television during a Patriots game?  I’m not talking about this year.  I am talking about ever!  I may have seen her once or twice, but that’s about it.  Needless to say, the stunning supermodel has a knack for hiding from the camera, which isn’t exactly an easy thing to do for someone as good looking as her.   If Giselle is in attendance at Lucas Oil Stadium, I wouldn’t expect the cameras to spot her this time around.
Our Pick: Under 0.5

5.  How many times will David Tyree’s 2008 Super Bowl catch be shown on TV during the game?
Line: 1.5
Analysis:  Once again, this does not include pre-game or halftime.  So with that being said, I can’t see how they would possibly show that clip more than once.  Networks rarely want to show you the same highlight from a previous game over and over.  There is a good chance that they do show this clip at some point in the game, but unless it comes down to another Giants offensive drive at the end of the game, I wouldn’t expect to see Tyree’s grab on my television screen more than once throughout the course of this game.

6.  How many times will Andrew Luck be mentioned during the game?
Line:  1
Analysis:  Peyton Manning will likely get his name thrown around two or three times throughout the broadcast, and something tells me that at least one of those times it will also include a reference to Stanford quarterback and projected first overall pick in the 2012 Entry Draft, Andrew Luck.  Once they mention his name once, you have your push.  Then you may simply sit back and pray that his name gets slipped in their once more by either Al Michaels or Chris Collinsworth.

7.  How many times will Robert Kraft be shown on TV during the game?
Line: 3.5
Analysis:  I almost feel as if this one is a no-brainer.  Perhaps no one in the stands gets more attention during a football game than the team owners.  The Super Bowl is certainly no exception.  Patriots owner Robert Kraft will surely appear on your television screen early in the game as NBC introduces the owners of both teams.  He should get some more air time when Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth take a moment to talk about the passing of his wife during the off-season, and how Kraft was able to help the NFL end the lockout while dealing with the tragedy.  And I’m sure they will sneak in a few more looks at Kraft throughout the course of the game.  Who knows?  Seeing as how Kraft is quite the popular figure around the league, this prop could be decided before halftime.
Our Pick: Over 3.5

8.  What Color will the Gatorade (or liquid) be that is dumped on the Head Coach of the Winning Super Bowl Team?
Lines: Clear 3/2, Orange 5/2, Yellow 5/2, Red 13/2, Green 15/2, Blue 10/1
Analysis:  This prop is a toss-up, so I prefer to go with the color that offers the best value.  In this case, I’d say that is the red at 13/2.  Everyone loves the flavor of red Gatorade, and I’m sure both teams will have a bucket of it on their respective sidelines.  Hopefully it isn’t too popular, however, as they’ll need to save some of it for the celebratory Gatordae shower.

9. Will Madonna wear a hat at any point during the Super Bowl halftime show?
Lines: Yes +150, No -200
Analysis:  This was a tough one, so I decided to do a Google image search of “Madonna performing” and on the first page there were approximately 15 pictures of her performing.  Five of those showed Madonna wearing some silly white hat.  Something tells me that her silly white hat will be making an appearance at some point during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show, and the +150 payout certainly makes this a good prop to roll the dice on.

10. Will Madonna be wearing fishnet stockings at any point during the Super Bowl Halftime show?
Lines: Yes -110, No -110
Analysis:  Much like I did for the above, I once again performed a Google image search of “Madonna performing” and noticed that she tends to wear short shorts or a skirt with fishnet stockings during plenty of her performances.  I wouldn’t expect the Super Bowl to be any different, and neither should you.
Our Pick: Yes
