While playing for the Caracas Lions of Venezuela’s professional baseball league during the MLB offseason, Torrealba had some choice words following a strikeout.  Those words got the 33-year-old ejected, but he wouldn’t go quietly, as he got in the face of umpire Dario Rivero Jr, before delivering a stiff right to the side of his head.

Dario would be a little shaken up by the shot, but he was able to walk it off.  As for Torrealba, he received a 66-game suspension, which means he probably won’t be playing anymore baseball until the 2012 MLB season opens up in April.

Now that the tournament is complete and Uruguay has captured their record 15th Copa America title, it is time to say goodbye to all the fans and players who have gathered in Argentina to watch their countries compete.  And what better way to do so than by offering you all one last look at another lovely lady who has used her big breasts and her nations colors to gain our attention.

Meet Diosa Canales, a Venezuelan model who celebrated her country’s fourth place finish by parading around in this rather revealing outfit. The only thing more surprising than Venezuela’s unexpected run to the semi-finals is the fact that Canales’ breasts were somehow able to remain in her shirt.

Rather than being happy with their effort, the Venezuelan players appeared frustrated and took their anger out on the Paraguayan players and coaches, as a brawl ensued following the match.  Players from both teams exchanged punches, kicks, slaps and all the other things you would expect to see during a soccer fight, as police and stadium officials attempted to put an end to the chaotic scene, which can be seen in the video below.

No word yet on whether any players will be suspended, as Paraguay is set to take on Uruguay in Sunday’s final, while Venezuela will face off against Peru in the third-place game on Saturday.

We’ll be sure to let you know if any brawls break out during the final two matches.  After all, that’s our job, isn’t it?

Last night Paraguay took on Venezuela in a crucial Group C match at the Copa America with a spot in the quarter-finals on the line.  That is usually enough to get fans from both countries at each others’ throats, but one thing we can learn for the above image is that sometimes all it takes is a nice set of breasts to overcome the hatred that divides the fans of two rival countries.

It comes from a friendly soccer match between Mexico and Venezuela at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego last week, but make no mistake about it, there is nothing “friendly” about throwing a guy down three rows of seats.

Whether that is the case or not has yet to be determined, but in the meantime, perhaps the organizers of these bullfighting events should consider using larger barriers to separate the ring from the fans.  It could have saved one worker from being injured after this bull leaped over the fence and into the crowd during a bullfight in Venezuela this week.

Those in attendance should be thankful that no one was killed, but for how long will we continue to watch this new breed of Air Jordan-like bulls leap through the air and into crowds before taking the necessary precautions?

Sure, this 19-year-old may not be quite as recognizable as the three men mentioned before him, but this goal during an Under-20 World Cup qualifier on Monday against Peru should help put his name on the map.  With his country trailing 1-0 late in the match, Orozco picked up the ball at midfield and proceeded to dance around several defenders with some skillful dribbling before burying a screamer from outside the 18-yards box into the top corner of the net.

It therefore only seemed appropriate to see his squad celebrate by kneeling before this teenage prodigy who may very well be the savior of Venezuelan soccer.  At the very least, he was a savior on this night as he managed to salvage a single point for his team thanks to this flash of brilliance.

Total Pro Sports – Javelin is usually not the most entertaining sport to watch, but it is when Leryn Franco is competing.  I guess anything is interesting as long as this Paraguayan bombshell is taking part in it.

With a track and field competition taking place in Venezuela, Leryn took part.  Much to our delight, someone brought a camera and creepily followed her around for a while.  What did they see?  Besides the tight outfit which, although revealing, leaves just enough for the imagination, we also got a glimpse of some throws and even a nice little stretch.  Those “bend down and touch your toe” stretches are defiantly a sight for sore eyes.

Leryn Franco ranks right up there with the likes of Simona Halep and Maria Verchenov, as female athletes who rely more so on their looks than their talent to gain recognition. This is not to say that any of these women lack talent.  That remains to be seen.  But should their abilities fail them, they have their appearance to fall back on, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Chris Denorfia had a monster game at the plate and in the field, making numerous catches and piling up four hits, two RBI’s and two runs.  Jason Grilli bounced back from a poor outing against Venezuela and pitched three scoreless innings to record the save.

Canadian fans were heckling the Italian outfielders relentlessly, but to no avail.  The Italian players could not understand a word they were saying and were thus unfazed.   After the game, drunk and angry Canada fans were seen as a mob heading towards College Street and Little Italy to start some trouble, but they walked by a bar with the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and got distracted and went in to the watch some curling.

This set up a rematch with Venezuela, but unfortunately the Italian team had a big lunch of pasta, pizza and wine and were too stuffed to contend.

Venezuela plays the United States for top spot in the group on Wednesday.
