Hello all you loyal TotalProSports readers. My name is Marc Oliver but most people call me Ollie or Ozel. I am a native of Toronto, Ontario but have lived all over. At the age of 16, after going on an exchange to my dad’s boarding in South Africa, I decided to board there full time. For 3 years I would have to wake up to either listen to the Stanley Cup playoffs (Ducks and Devils) or wake up and watch a wardrobe malfunction that I wasn’t sure if I imagined it or had seen it for real.
After High school I moved to England to work before I moved back home to Canada to attend where I am now, the University of Guelph. I am a general arts student working part time in the TSN newsroom as a story editor. I am a fan of all sports and I mean all sports.
I’ve attended live rugby games, the 2003 Cricket World Cup and even got to be at the Joe the first time Stevie Y won the cup. My favourite sports are Hockey, baseball, basketball and Rugby.
I am from Toronto and live and die by all Toronto teams no matter how bad they are. My favourite sports athletes are Steve Yzerman, Doug Gilmour, Sean Avery, Kevin Garnett and the “Doc” Roy Halladay. I also attend a lot of sports events around North America and have to say being at the Joe in ’97 and seeing Darren McCarty Undress Ron Hextall was definitely the highlight of my life.
I look forward to hearing from some of you guys and hope you enjoy reading my insight.
