Virginia Tech Delivers Knock Out Blow To BC

Hokies Win ACC TitleTotal Pro Sports – The Virgina Tech Hokies yesterday defeated the Boston College Eagles 30-12, for the second straight year in the ACC title game.  With this win the Hokies will now play in the Orange Bowl.  We assume the Hokies will go onto face either the Utah Utes or the Cincinnati Bearcats for the Orange Bowl.

The rushing attack of the Hokies lead the team to victory over the Eagles, Freshman Darren Evans rushed for 114 yards and 1 touchdown.  The Hokies second running back Sophomore Tyrod Taylor rushed for 30 yards and 2 touchdowns.

“That was real sweet,” Evans said after becoming the sixth player in league history to rush for more than 1,000 yards as a freshman. “It would be good to get the regular-season games, but you can’t be too greedy.”

After the win, instead of going with the conventional Gatorade Dump over the head of their coach Frank Beamer, players decided it was right they make red shirt senior Cory Holt to jump and punch Frank Beamer in the face in celebration of the victory.

If you look closely at the replay, Cory Holt jumps in celebration, pumping his fists and accidentally punches Beamer in the head. All was well after as Frank Beamer knew it was an accident. The Hokies go to celebrate the win and their birth in the Orange Bowl.
