Las Vegas Bowl Game Preview
A 10-2 record and yet another trip to the Las Vegas Bowl for the Cougars. With aspirations of possibly being in a BCS Bowl Game the BYU Cougars struggled in their two toughest games of the season (both losses) against TCU and in the final against Utah.
The BYU Cougars will now be headed to Sin City for the fourth consecutive year, to play the Arizona Wildcats. This will be the third consecutive year that these teams will meet, with each team winning their home game, it seems that the Cougars will have an advantage as this one will lure a lot of BYU fans.
As for the Wildcats, they will be playing in the Las Vegas Bowl game for the first time since 1998. The Wildcats bring to this game a balance on offense that is difficult to contain. The combination of Willie Tuitama and Nic Grigsby has given opponents fits all season, however, it remains to be seen if they can carry their success against a BYU defense that practices against a similar style offense each week. We expect this one to be a high scoring game with these teams trading points over the course of 4 quarters.
Las Vegas Bowl Game Prediction
The BYU Cougars are familiar with this setting they have seen it before and they will be ready to take on an Arizona Wildcat team that is hungry for a bowl win. We feel comfortable with Max Hall behind center he will be cool, calm and collected for this game and the Cougars should be able to score a lot of points. The Cougars are also 2-0 against the PAC-10 this year and this should boost their confidence even more.
