Sooners DeMarco Murray To Miss BCS Title Game
Total Pro Sports – Reports out of Oklahoma University have confirmed that their star running back DeMarco Murray will be out of the BCS National Title game. Murray who rushed for more then 1000 yards this season ruptured a tendon in his hamstring during the Big 12 Title Game against the Missouri Tigers.
DeMarco Murray is only one of injured stars on the Sooners squad, All American and Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford also is on the reserve after having surgery on his left hand this past week. If any of you missed it Sam Bradford won The Heisman Trophy this past weekend and received the award wearing a maroon colored cast.
“Obviously, we’re very disappointed for DeMarco,” Stoops said in a statement. “He has been an important part of our success this year and we will miss his contributions.”
Murray is not the only 1000 plus yard rusher on the Sooners, Chris Brown also rushed for more then 1000 yards giving the Sooners a duo of 2000 plus yards combined. This combination of Brown and Murray are feared by all opponents. With the addition of having Sam Bradford at the helm, the Sooners were the highest scoring team in the Nation.
The Sooner also have third running back Mossis Madu, if DeMarco Murray can’t go.
With Chris Brown and Mossis Madu, we still have two very fine backs,” Stoops said. “Our team has a lot of confidence in their abilities.”
There no fear in Sooner land, aslong as they have the Heisman winner Sam Bradford leading their team into the BCS National Title Game everything will be fine. Remember Sooner fans, your run attack never got you to the big game, your air attack did.
