Florida State Seminoles vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Champs Sports Bowl Game Preview

This is the first time these teams will meet. Florida State Seminoles and Wisconsin Badgers have both had disappointing seasons this year. The Seminoles and Badgers both have reached the Top 25 at some point this year, but both hit stretches of inconsistency. The Badgers started the season 3-0, before they hit their stumbling block losing 5 out of 6. The Badgers got little contribution from their quarterbacks this year, both quarterbacks combined to throw 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Wisconsin was able to put up points, in large part to their running backs, both P.J. Hill and John Clay enjoyed fantastic seasons, combining for 1866 yards and 22 touchdowns.

The Florida State Seminoles shared similar problems, as Christian Ponder was ineffective for the most part. The Seminoles rely on their ground attack to move the chains, Antone Smith has been the key contributor to the offense. The Seminoles had an opportunity to win the ACC Conference this year, the conference was the weakest it has been for a while. The eventual winner finished with a 6-3 conference record and a 9-4 overall record. In what will be a home field advantage for the Seminoles, they will need their rush defense to continue to play well in order to slow down the Badgers.

Champs Sports Bowl Game Prediction

It is difficult to predict the winner of this game as both teams leave us scratching our heads each week. The Seminoles should have a home crowd for this contest but the Badgers are comfortable playing in Florida as their last 5 bowl games have been played in the southern state. The team that eventually wins the game will most likely feature the quarterback that makes less mistakes. For that reason we like the Florida State Seminoles.
