Maryland Terrapins vs. Nevada Wolf Pack

Humanitarian Bowl Game Preview

The Maryland Terrapins may be upset about the lack of respect they were given when they were only invited to the Humanitarian Bowl. The Terrapins have had an up and down season, they have four wins against then Top 25 opponents (California, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Clemson) but huge letdown losses against the likes of Middle Tennessee State and Virginia. The Terrapins enter this match up on a two game losing streak, and missed their opportunity at an ACC Title.

The Nevada Wolf Pack began their season with a 1-2 record but went 6-3 down the stretch, with no loss coming by greater than 7 points. They feature an explosive quarterback and running back duo that collected a combined 2535 yards on the ground and scored 30 rushing touchdowns. The combination of Colin Kaepernick and Vai Taua have devastated opponents all season and should prove to be a handful for the Terrapins. Kaepernick became only the fifth player in college history to rush for 1000 yards and throw for 2000 yards in the same season. The Wac Offensive Player of the Year has done a lot this season and adding a Humanitarian Bowl championship would fit a perfect ending.

Humanitarian Bowl Game Prediction

The Nevada Wolf Pack ground attack should be a handful for the undersized Maryland front seven. The Terrapins are not happy about the location of their bowl game, they were expecting a warmer climate and we feel this may be a key to the game. The Wolf Pack cannot be too disappointed with the Humanitarian Bowl and should draw a larger fan base. The Terrapins will be without their defensive coordinator as he has taken a job at Kansas State, this is not a good time to be out of sync defensively.
