Total Pro Sports – This week’s 3 Stars is brought to you by the colour red as players from the Calgary Flames, New Jersey Devils and Washington Capitals all had great weeks and made the list.
This week’s honorable mention goes to Alexander Semin of the Washington Capitals. Last week Semin potted 3 goals and added 3 assists for 6 points with 5 of those points coming while on the power play. Alexander also registered 19 shots on goal, 6 penalty minutes and 1 game winning goal. Alexander Semin has had a great year and playing with the likes of Alexander Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green is a must have for any fantasy owner.
Lets take a look at the NHL Fantasy 3 Stars for Week 21.
3rd Star – Michael Cammalleri (LW), Calgary Flames
Despite the rumors that he’ll be leaving at season’s end, Michael Cammalleri has been the Flames most consistant scorer next to Jarome Iginla. Last week Michael scored 4 goals and had 4 assists for 8 points with 5 of those points coming on the power play. He also registered 12 shots on goal and a plus/minus rating of plus-1. Cammalleri has rebounded nicely after a disappointing season last year and should be a solid fantasy option for years to come.
Jarome Iginla had a fantastic week. Not only did he put up a wack of points, he also became the Flames’ all-time points leader surpassing Theo Fleury. Last week Jarome posted 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points with 4 of those points coming while on the power play. He also registered 13 shots on goal, 2 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of plus-3.
1st Star – Martin Brodeur (G), New Jersey Devils
Martin Brodeur returned to action after missing a little over 3 months with an arm injury and didn’t miss a beat. Last week Martin collected 3 wins while posting a 0.67 GAA, .971 SAV% and 2 shutouts. Brodeur has been the top fantasy goalie for the past few years and despite his age it appears that he will continue to be for the future as well.
Remember to check back in next week to see who the NHL Fantasy 3 Stars will be for Week 22.
