The Stat Line Of The Night – 3/26/09 – Jonathan Quick

Total Pro Sports – The Los Angeles Kings took on the Dallas Stars in Dallas on Thursday night and boy it was a fun game to watch.  Scoreless after regulation, scoreless after overtime, the game went into shootouts where the Los Angeles Kings held on to win the game 1-0.

The story of the night was rookie goaltender Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings who won his 17th game of the season and shut-out his third team of the year.  Quick was stellar in net stopping all 29 shots and only letting one goal in the shoot-out.  Jonathan Quick is “The Stat Line Of The Night” for Thursday March 26th, 2009.

“Los Angeles G Jonathan Quick did not allow a goal in the first 65 minutes of hockey against the Stars on Thursday. It wasn’t enough to get the win as he was met save for save by Marty Turco who also took a shutout 65 minutes into Thursday’s game. Quick stopped two out of the three shots he faced in the shootout and Turco only stopped one as Quick got the 1-0 shootout win.”

If the Kings can continue winning games they might have a shot at the 8th playoff seed in the Western Conference.
