The Stat Line Of The Night – 04/29/09 – Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo AnthonyTotal Pro Sports –  The Denver Nuggets ended their 7 game series against last night (4-1) by beating up on the New Orleans Hornets 107-86.

The player of the game was forward Carmelo Anthony who lead the Denver Nuggets with 34 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the win.  Ultimately making him  “The Stat Line Of The Night” for Wednesday April 29th, 2009.

“That monkey is awful heavy sometimes,” Nuggets coach George Karl said. “I’m just really happy for ‘Melo.”


“It took me five years to get that gorilla off my back,” said Anthony, drafted third overall by the Nuggets in 2003 after leading Syracuse to the national title in his only college season. “And it’s a great feeling. I’m just going to soak this time up, this moment.”

The Nuggets are a good team so dont be surprised if they end of winning the Western Conference in 2009.
