The Stat Line Of The Night – 05/11/09 – Patrick Kane
Total Pro Sports – The Chicago Blackhawks looked to put away the Vancouver Canucks on home ice in game 6 Monday night. They didn’t let their home town United Center crowd down. In a high scoring affair the “Kid” Blackhawks won 7-5 and sent the Canucks packing back to the West Coast.
The player of the game was none other than youngster Patrick Kane who was marvelous for the Blackhawks. In the win he scored his first career NHL hat-trick, and added 1 assist for 4 points as he helped his team move on to the Western Conference finals. Ultimately making him “The Stat Line Of The Night” for Monday May 11th, 2009.
“It’s about time I got the first hat trick. I’ve been waiting two years. I guess it can’t come in a better game than this,” the 20-year-old Kane said.
Captain and teammate Jonathan Toews had this to say in the win,
“It’s awesome. We didn’t want to go back to Vancouver,” the 21-year-old Toews said. “Nobody knew what was going to happen. It was unbelievable. … We’ve found ways to come back, especially late in games.”
Don’t be surprised to see the Chicago Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup finals. These kids are for real!!!!!
