Brandon Marshall Beats Corners And Women
Total Pro Sports – Bronco’s wide out Brandon Marshall has proven that he can be an elite receiver in the NFL, but his successes on the field have been largely overshadowed by his failures off it.
The troubled player out of the University of Central Florida has had his fair share of legal confrontations, but most notably are his several domestic abuse charges resulting from incidents with former girlfriend Rasheedah Watley, and current fiancee Michi Nogami-Campbell. ESPN covered a story on Marshall which referred to the many incidents involving Marshall and the police.
Interviews with Watley and her parents illustrated the extent to which Marshall abused her during the years they were together. Even more disturbing is the way in which the Denver Broncos and the NFL has handled the incident. Several domestic abuse incidents and a couple of DUIs later and what do you get. A measly one game suspension. Talk about easy! That’s even less harsh than the leagues steroid policy.
The ESPN “Outside The Lines” interview reveals some shocking evidence, including recorded 911 calls made by Watley, and word that the Broncos actually requested she forgive Marshall. Looks like the NFL wants its reputation of being physical to extend beyond the field of play.
