The Stat Line Of The Night – 06/01/09 – Rich Hill

Rich HillTotal Pro Sports – The Baltimore Orioles traveled to Seattle to take on the Mariners and in the first game of a West Coast swing, the Orioles did not disappoint winning the game 1-0.

The player of the game was starting pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles Rich Hill who pitched an absolute gem for his team.  Hill pitched a scoreless 7 innings holding the Mariners to only 2 hits and striking out 7.  Thus making him “The Stat Line Of The Night” for Monday June 1st, 2009.

“Boy, oh boy, I don’t know we’ll see a better pitched game than that,” Orioles manager Dave Trembley gushed. “That’s tremendous.”

That’s exactly what the baseball world is saying after Hill’s performance on Monday night.  Hopefully he can contiue and help Orioles with some much needed pitching.
