Total Pro Sports – Most of you may not be aware, but the Las Vegas NBA summer league has begun. It may not be the most entertaining basketball you can watch, but Kevin Durant doesn’t seem to mind. He’s been keeping tabs on the games, which involve rookies and other players looking for a shot at playing in the NBA, and Blake Griffin caught his attention early.
Yesterday marked the debut for the Los Angeles Clippers first overall pick and Durant was likely not the only one he impressed. He was, however, quite possibly the only one who was twittering about it. The former Oklahoma Sooner finished the game with 27 points and 12 rebounds, and most importantly he steered clear of any over-the-back flips as the Clippers beat the Lakers 93-82.
It was a good start to what many believe will be a promising career for the power forward. Despite the unfortunate circumstances of being drafted by the Clippers, Griffin has great athleticism and potential. With his continued success, he should expect to find himself surrounded by the ladies, much like his days in a Sooner uniform.
