Colten Teubert Hits Jordan Caron Into Another World [Video]

Total Pro Sports – As a child playing hockey in Canada, every boy’s dream becomes one in which he envisons himself  wearing a  red maple leaf and playing  for Team Canada; following in the footsteps of past greats as Sidney Crosby, Mario Lemiuex and Wayne Gretzky.  This year, young energetic players such as Taylor Hall (Windsor Spitfires), Jordan Eberle (Regina Pats) and Colten Teubert (Regina Pats), all have earned the chance to live that dream and possibly don the “Red and White” jersey.

With the hockey season  just around the corner, this year’s Canadian World Juniors Camp has begun in Saskatoon; tensions are high and players are giving it their all for a chance to crack the 23 man roster.  With a possibility of  10 players not returning to this year’s team, players are battling  it out for those few open spots.

During a recent Red and White scrimmage,  Colton Teubert, a LA Kings 1st round draft pick body checked  Boston Bruins prospect Jordan Caron and sent him flying into “Lala Land”.  And we thought hockey players learned their lesson after watching Martin Havlat get knocked into another world. Some people may consider this a dirty hit but Teubert essentially executed a clean open ice check, albeit a hard one. Jordan Caron makes the situation worse by having his head down and pays the price.  Caron suffered a broken clavicle and is  now unable to play for the next 6-8 weeks. Teubert wished Caron a quick and safe recovery thinking that that would make things better, but the question remains whether the hit was dirty or not.
