Commercial Depicts Michael Jordan Peeing In Shower To Save The Rainforest
Total Pro Sports – If you were looking for a reason to begin “living green”, look no further. Michael Jordan, King Kong and other animated characters have a message for you, courtesy of the Brazilian environmental group SOS Mata Atlantica.
Deterioration of the Brazilian rainforests has been a big environmental issue down south, and in order to preserve water Brazilians are being encouraged to pee in the shower. As part of their strategy to spread the word, animated characters were used in a commercial with children’s voices to tell everyone to “Pee in the shower! Save the Atlantic rainforest!”.
At the 13 second mark of the clip, the easily identifiable image of Air Jordan soaring through the air (also show in this mosaic made of Gatorade bottles) appears, but with an added touch: he seems to be urinating as he goes in for the dunk.
It is by far the oddest commercial I have seen (not even Velvet Rope can top this one). So should we expect some sort of copyright infringement suit from Nike? Stay tuned to find out.
