Roddick And Shaq Impress On Late Night Television
Total Pro Sports – If you found yourself in front of a television last night then you may have had the privilage of catching Andy Roddick and Shaq‘s performances on the David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel shows, respectively. If not, then you missed what was one of the most entertaining nights in athlete late show history.
We will begin at the Late Show with David Letterman, where Andy Roddick made a guest appearance and David wasted no time discussing Roger Federer. Oddly enough, Letterman had reason to believe that Andy may now be in Roger’s head after their last meeting at Wimbledon. A sarcastic Roddick played it off before taking his frustration out on David on the court. As you would expect from the elder talk show host, he didn’t quite have enough speed to get out of the way of Roddick’s 100mph serves, getting nailed by two of them. That should teach him for bringing up Andy’s kryptonite.
On the other side of the country, Shaq was busy appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live. During his segment he played a game of scrabble with Kimmel. While he has been trying to make a name for himself as the jack of many trades, spelling does not appear to be on of them. That was evident with words like “giro”, “quoted”, “equoted”, “requoted”, “vagonado”, and best of all is “rigiro”, the Italian pasta (as he put it). Hopefully Shaq doesn’t start sending out scrabble challenges through twitter or make it a competition on Shaq Vs.
It truly was an entertaining Thursday night for late show television, and in case you missed it, you can check out the clips below.
