B.C. Lions’ Emmanuel Arceneaux On Receiving End Of Huge Hit

B.C. Lions Emmanuel Arceneaux On Receiving End Of Huge HitA chance to play for the Grey Cup should be enough to make any Canadian Football League player lay their body on the line in order to produce a big play. That was certainly the case Sunday afternoon when B.C. Lions receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux went head over heals to make a catch with his team down 24-3 in the second quarter.

Arceneaux came down hard on the back of his neck, seemingly decapitating his head from the rest of his body. He would thankfully be alright, but the Lions wouldn’t as they ended up losing this crucial CFL semi-finals match-up 56-18 to the Montreal Alouettes.

With the win, the Als will travel to Calgary next Sunday to take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in this year’s Grey Cup final. As for the Lions, they will go home with the bitter taste of defeat in their mouth, but at least in Arceneaux’s case, that mouth, and the rest of his head, is still attached to his body.
