Fans Fall From Stands Head First Into Concrete (Video)

Fans Fall From Stands Head First Into ConcreteThe Rams did not have a great season on the field, and their fans were subject to another brutal campaign in 2009 that probably left a bad taste in their mouths.  It’s been almost a decade since the glory days of “The Greatest Show on Turf”, and although Kurt Warner is still going strong, the Rams have completely fallen off the deep end.  At least, however, the fans can look forward to getting some free game-worn merchandise from their terrible team.

Of course, if they want to get that merchandise, they might have to crash through an awning about 10 feet high and fall onto the concrete underneath.  At least they aren’t taking penis beer bongs, but this still isn’t pretty.  Lineman Clifton Ryan threw his shoes into the crowd as he was entering the tunnel after the game.  His first shoe bounced off some fans hands and landed on the awning.  After his second shoe was claimed by some fans, the crowd turned their attention back to the first shoe.  A few dived on the awning to get it and it gave way, sending them flying to the ground.

Who is to blame for this incident?  Surely not Ryan or the Rams, I mean the fans should have some responsibility for acting with such disregard for their own well-being.  Somehow I think that won’t be the end of it though, as lawsuits from these kinds of things tend to be directed at the team, facility, or even player.
