The Stat Line of the Night – 1/19/10 – LeBron James
King James proves again and again why he is considered by many to be the most talented player in the game today. Last night he dropped 28 points on Toronto en route to a 108-100 victory. While 28 points may not sound spectacular, especially on a night where other stars were shining brightly as well, it was how he scored them and all the other little things he did that earned him “The Stat Line of the Night”.
Shaq scored his 28,000th point, a feat only 5 other players have ever accomplished. Mo Williams also shined scoring 22 points and dishing 10 assists. Even Bosh, the star of the losing Raptors, posted a great double-double. None compared to LeBron’s near triple-double however. You know those 28 points I mentioned earlier? Well he also had 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.
He threw down a few patented LeBron dunks and did everything he needed to help his team beat a decent Raptors squad, which begs the question: Why did he back out of the dunk contest? Regardless of the answer to that, he put on a stellar performance last night and looks to continue dominating the East. MVP? Perhaps, though it too soon to tell. Most coveted free agent of 2010? Definitely.
