The Stat Line of the Night – 1/28/10 – David Lee
David Lee said he wasn’t extra motivated against the Raptors Thursday night after he was snubbed from the NBA All-Star Team. But it sure looked like his game had a bit more edge than usual.
It was a battle of the bigs in New York, with Lee and Chris Bosh each having impressive games. Bosh had 27 points and 15 rebounds and the Raptors pulled out the win — their 4th straight — in an exciting 106-104 finish. But David Lee was the story of the night.
Lee had everything working. He shot 13-21 [62%] from the field, hit on all of his free throw attempts and finished with 29 points. He also cleaned up with 18 rebounds, 6 of them coming off the offensive glass, and almost won it for the Knicks in the final seconds. But unfortunately the rest of his team shot just 33% for the game.
Lee is a free agent after the season and is averaging 19.6 and 11.6 per game. Why isn’t anyone talking about this guy? Well, we are. David Lee gets The Stat Line of the Night for 1/28/10.
