The Stat Line of the Night – 2/3/10 – Monta Ellis
Total Pro Sports- The Golden State Warriors aren’t going to the playoffs. At 13-35 Warriors fans don’t have all that much to cheer about. Their best hope right now is that they are the last team standing during the NBA draft lottery, and they get to select Kentucky’s John Wall. But they definitely got a big thrill last night.
The Warriors were in Dallas to play the Mavs, hoping to shake a 6-game losing streak. That didn’t happen as the Mavs won 110-101, but Monta Ellis went berzerk in big D. He had the hottest of hands and put on quite a show.
Ellis went off for 46 points and did it on 17-23 shooting from the floor. He also nailed 4 of 6 from three-point land. When he wasn’t ripping nets he was able to add a block, a steal, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Maybe Ellis was a bit miffed at being snubbed for the All-Star team and decided to show the league what he can do. The 46 points was a career-high for the big time scorer and it’s The Stat Line of the Night for 2/3/10.
