Mike Ribeiro’s Between-The-Legs Goal Leads Stars To Victory
We have seen Mike Ribeiro do this before. Stationed at the side of the net with what seems to be an impossible angle, he slips the puck and his stick between his legs and sneaks if by the keeper for a goal. Last night he was at it once again, this time against the Calgary Flames.
With the Stars trailing by one on the road, Ribeiro used what is quickly becoming his patented move to score the tying goal from behind the goal line. Not even Flames goalie Mikka Kiprusoff was prepared for what he was about to see, as it was the first of three unanswered goals for Dallas. They would go on to win the game by a score of 3-1, recording only their second road win in 2010.
After a slow start to his career, Mike Ribeiro has proven himself to be one of the most tallented players in the league with the puck. His unbelievable hands and creativity continue to haunt goalies across the NHL. One can’t help but think that it will only be a matter of time before we are talking about his next great goal.
Until then, here is his last.
