The Stat Line of the Night – 2/17/10 – Dwight Howard
Total Pro Sports- Everybody wants to talk about LeBron and a possible matchup with Kobe in the NBA Finals. But maybe they should slow their roll. Superman put on his cape again last night, and last I checked he was the one going up against Kobe in the finals last year. It’s as simple as this: the road to the finals has to go through Dwight Howard and the Magic at some point.
Dwight Howard always makes his mark in any game he plays in, but last night he was especially impressive against the Detroit Pistons in Orlando. Superman scored a season-high 33 points and did in part by getting the better of his perosnal kryptonite: free throws. Howard hit 11 of 13 from the foul line as well as netting 11 of 16 from the floor. He also had 3 thefts and swatted back 7 Detroit shots. The league’s leading rebounder also added 17 boards, 5 coming off the offensive glass.
You thought Superman couldn’t get any better but he has this season. His numbers are up across the board. LeBron may be waiting one more year for that ring. Dwight Howard has The Stat Line of the Night for 2/17/10.
