Suddenly Alex Ovechkin Is Not Interested In Being On Camera
It is usually almost impossible to get Alex Ovechkin out from in front of the camera lens. After all, there may be nothing the Russian superstar loves more than being in the spotlight. However, it appears as though things have dramatically changed after his country was dealt a crushing 7-3 loss at the hands of the hometown Canadian Men’s Hockey Team on Wednesday night in Vancouver.
The media has had difficulties catching up with Ovechkin over the past two weeks, and yesterday he was making things difficult on (of all people) the Russian fans.
The description of this video, which was found on YouTube, states that a female fan of Russia who had flown all the way to Vancouver to cheer on her team, saw Ovechkin at the entrance of the “Russian House” and attempted to capture No. 8 on camera. Unfortunately for her, Ovy wasn’t in the mood, grabbing the camera and nearly squashing it to pieces as the female pleaded with him to stop.
Ovechkin has obviously been distressed after losing in the quarter-finals of a tournament that many picked the Russians to win, but it appears as though he is already looking forward to 2014 in Sochi (check out his jacket). The only question is, ‘will he be there?’
