The Stat Line of the Night – 2/25/10 – Chauncey Billups

billupsTotal Pro Sports- The Denver Nuggets went to Cali to play the Golden State Warriors and fans were treated to a high-scoring contest in which the present Mr. Big Shot —  Chauncey Billups —  and the future Mr. Big Shot — Stephen Curry — both got it done in a big way for their teams.

Curry has been nothing short of spectacular in his rookie year. Earlier in the season he recorded a triple-double and last night he dropped in 30 points and added 13 assists plus 6 rebounds. But the night belonged to Chauncey, as he outshined Curry and his superstar teammate Carmelo Anthony.

Mr. Big Shot took over the game to seal the deal in the 4th quarter for the Nuggets, and they went on to win 127-112. Denver moved to 38-19, the best 57-game start in their franchise history. Billups was draining bombs from three-point land, hitting 6 of 8 in the game. Overall he was13-19 from the field and tallied a game-high 37 points. He also hit on all 5 of his free-throw attempts, handed out 9 assists, pulled down 6 boards and had a steal.
