The Stat Line of the Night – 4/7/10 – Stephen Curry
Remember that kid that was draining threes and scoring in bunches in the NCAA tourney last year? He’s all grown up now. He’s still a rookie in the NBA, but he’s playing like a seasoned pro and putting up some ridiculous numbers. I’m talking about Stephen Curry.
Curry already has a triple-double this year and last night he was just a few plays away from a quadruple-double. Last night against the Timberwolves, Curry 27 points on 12-22 from the floor and nailed 3 of 5 from behind the three-point arc. That’s impressive on its own, but Curry was filling out that stat sheet in a big way. He also added 14 assists, 8 rebounds and an amazing 7 steals. His efforts led the Warriors to a 116-107 win over the T’Wolves in Minnesota.
It was an especially meaningful win for the Warriors because coach Don Nelson won his 1,333rd game and passed Lenny Wilkins to become the NBA’s all-time leader for coaching victories. Curry is on his way to breaking some records of his own, and he has The Stat Line of the Night for 4/7/10.
