The Stat Line of the Night – 4/8/10 – Joakim Noah

joakim noahThe Chicago Bulls are an entirely different team when Joakim Noah is in the lineup. Earlier this season the Bulls seemed like a lock for the Eastern Conference playoffs, but then Noah went down with Plantar Fasciitis. The Bulls went into the tank with Noah out and now they need every win they can get to snag the 8th seed in the East. Fortunately for the Bulls, Noah is back in the lineup and playing at a high level.

Last night the Bulls played the LeBron-less Cavs in Chicago and Noah came up huge. Other Bulls outscored Noah, but he provided defense, scoring and led all players in rebounds. The Bulls won 109-108, largely because of the hustle of Noah. He finished with 17 points on 8-14 shooting and pulled down the game-high 15 rebounds. The smooth-passing big man added 4 assists and also protected the paint with 4 blocked shots.

The Bulls playoff hopes are still alive, though they will need to keep winning to make the postseason. Derrick Rose runs the show, but Joakim Noah is the heart and soul of this Bulls team. He has The Stat Line of the Night for 4/8/10.
