Barrie Colts Fans Throw Kraft Dinner At The Spitfires
The NHL playoffs are not for the faint of heart, and the same can be said for the OHL playoffs as well. After all, it takes a whole lot of courage to score the overtime winner and remain on the ice for the celebration as the opposing team’s fans shower you with boxes of Kraft Dinner.
That was the scene on the ice Tuesday night in Barrie following the Windsor Spitfires’ 4-3 overtime victory over the hometown Colts. After the Spits scored the game-winning goal, which came off the stick of Taylor Hall, the macaroni-filled boxes (which were being used during the game as noise makers) began to make their way onto the ice.
A classless act indeed, but at least someone will be going home with a one-year supply of macaroni and cheese. Everyone’s a winner! Expect for the Colts, of course.
