Don Cherry Is The Phantom Of The Stanley Cup Playoffs (Video)

We have all heard about playoff ghosts.  For some prime examples, look no further than Marian Hossa (prior to his Game 2 goal), Joe Thornton, and so far in this year’s finals, the top lines of each team.  Prior to Game 2 between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Philadelphia Flyers, the ghosts who had pulled a disappearing act in Game 1 were called out by Don Cherry, a.k.a. The Phantom of the Playoffs.

Cherry may have quite the regular season wardrobe with his trademark  colorful suit jackets, but perhaps no one has a larger playoff wardrobe than this master of many disguises.  Whether he is lifting a giant octopus from the Detroit River, or playing the part of “The Most Interesting Man in the World”, one thing remains certain:  When it comes to playoff time, unlike the ghosts previously mentioned, Cherry is one man that will never go missing.
