Will This “Porta-John Drill” Help The KC Chiefs Win Some Games? (Video)
When your football team has not won more than four games over the past three seasons, you’ll try just about anything to help change that, including the installment of some rather unorthodox training techniques. That was the case at the Kansas City Chiefs training camp this past week, as assistant head coach Maurice Carthon zinged balls at his running backs as they sat in a porta-john.
I’m not sure if this drill will translate into wins, but it should help the likes of Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones be prepared to receive a pass at anytime. Even when they least expect it, for example, during a washroom break.
Thankfully Carthon let them keep their pants on, although we can only hope each running back was courteous enough to flush when they were done.
