Best Trick Play Ever? (Video)

When it comes to trick plays in football, it doesn’t get much better than this beauty executed by Presbyterian in their game against Wake Forest.

Just consider the genius behind this play.  The quarterback bounces the ball to his wide receiver, making it appears as though the attempted screen pass is incomplete.  But the ball is thrown backwards, meaning the play is still alive.  The defenders are oblivious to this fact, and they leave a receiver open down the field.  The receiver with the ball hits the open receiver with a pass and he jogs into the end zone for the easy score.

Unfortunately, that was the only thing Presbyterian had to cheer about in this game as they would go on to lose by a score of 53-13.

Its too bad you don’t get 40-point bonuses for creative plays like this one.
