DeSean Jackson On The Wrong End Of Devestating Helmet-To-Helmet Hit (Video)
Since Michael Vick went down with a rib injury during a week four game against the Washington Redskins, DeSean Jackson has struggled to find a rhythm with current quarterback Kevin Kolb, but the two seemed to finally get on the same page as they teamed up for a 34-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter of yesterday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. It appeared as though it was only the beginning of what would turn out to be a monstrous day for DJax. Little did we know that the end was near.
That end would come in the form of a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit delivered by Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson early in the second quarter.
Prior to the hit, Jackson had recorded two rushes for 44 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown scamper, and one reception for 34 yards and a touchdown. However, his day would be done after the hit, and it likely will not be the only action he misses.
Reports indicate that Jackson suffered a severe concussion and memory loss from the hit. The speedy receiver was forced to miss one game last season with a concussion, and it appears as though he will be missing much more this time around as a result of this violent collision.
