Boos, Chalk Tossing And A Bunch Of Points Highlight LeBron’s Return To Cleveland (Videos)
Last night we were all witnesses…to the most over-hyped NBA game of the 2010-11 season.
Things pretty much went as planned in Cleveland last night when LeBron James made his first trip back to the city where he was raised and played the first seven seasons of his NBA career. Right from the opening shoot-around, the boos rained down on James and they seemingly never stopped from that point, besides the odd moment when the Cleveland crowd would break into an “asshole” chant.
However, the boos seemed to do nothing to LeBron’s psyche as he was locked in the entire game, going 15-of-25 from the field for a game-high 38 points as his Heat cruised to a 118-90 victory.
But regardless of the lack of excitement that this game would end up providing, everyone today will want to know how things went down between LeBron and the Cavalier fans. The following three videos should give you an idea, beginning with the chorus of boos that echoed throughout Quicken Loans Arena during the shoot-around. However, there were some cheers mixed in with the boos, but they could only be heard after every missed shot by LeBron during the warm-up.
The boos continued during the player introductions. Although, there was one former Cavalier making his return that did receive quite the warm reception. Welcome back Zydrunas Ilgauskas!
There was also the chalk toss. Some believed he wouldn’t do it. Others were sure he would. And when the time came, he did it…
And then there was the game, which was just about the most uninteresting part of last night’s events at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. But for those who want to see it, here is a complete round-up.
