The Stat Line Of The Night – 12/22/10 – Carlos Boozer

Looking to assert themselves as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls have done just that, winning eight of their last nine games heading into last night’s contest against the Washington Wizards.  And thanks t a stellar performance from their top off-season acquisition, they stayed hot heading into the Christmas break.

Carlos Boozer did just about everything last night, scoring a game-high 30 points to go along with his 10 rebounds and 7 assists through just over 45 minutes of play.  Along with some help from his fellow superstar teammate, Derrick Rose, Boozer and the Bulls would prove to be too much for the Wizards as they came away with an impressive 87-80 road victory.

The Bulls have been dealing with their fair share of injuries lately, but they haven’t allowed that to slow them down one bit.  The Christmas break is usually a good time to provide any injury-riddled team with some much needed rest, but the Bulls wont get much of a break this time around as they are set to face the New York Knicks on Christmas Day.  And with the Knicks currently playing some great basketball, the Bulls are going to need another performance like this one from Carlos Boozer, which was good enough to earn him the “Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
