AHL’s Jesse Boulerice Suspended 10 Games For Hitting Ref (Video)

There are plenty of ways to voice your disapproval with a referee after a non-call.  You can unleash a verbal tirade on him, give him the finger, and/or maybe even throw an object or two onto the ice.  But one thing you don’t want to do is engage in any sort of physical contact with an official.  Jesse Boulerice of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins learned that the hard way.

Boulerice is currently serving a 10-game suspension for checking referee Francis Charron following what he believed to be a missed call.  Unfortunately for Boulerice,  Charron didn’t miss the second infraction as he whistled the Penguins’ forward for a game misconduct.

Here is a look at how things unfolded on the ice.
