Dion Phaneuf Levels Teammate Mike Komisarek During Warm-ups (Video)

It is no secret that the Toronto Maple Leafs’ Dion Phaneuf is one of the hardest hitters in the NHL today.  He has demonstrated his ability to line up a member of the opposition on several occasions thus far this season, and he was at it once again last night.  Only this time, it was his own teammate on the receiving end of one of his patented devastating checks.

While skating a few laps around the rink during warm-ups prior to a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Phaneuf’s path was impeded by fellow Leafs defender Mike Komisarek.  Rather than avoid Komisarek, the Leafs captain simply went through him, sending the 6’4 defenseman to the ice in a heap.

Luckily, both players would avoid any injuries, as the Leafs left Philadelphia with a good laugh and a 3-2 victory.
