Zoltan Torkos Performs The First Ever Kickflip On A Surfboard (Video)

History has been made and now it appears to be only a matter of time before surfer Zoltan Torkos is awarded a $10,000 prize as the winner of Volcom Stone’s Kickflip-Off Contest.

The contest, which began on November 21st, 2007, challenged all surfers to video tape themselves performing the first ever surfing kickflip.  Whoever could provide footage of themselves executing such a maneuver would be awarded the $10,000 cash prize.

After a long three-and-a-half years of waiting, Zoltan finally put an end to the contest, executing what appears to be a perfect kickflip while surfing at the world-famous Steamer’s Lane in Santa Cruz.

Here is a look at the video that should launch Torkos’ name into surfing’s history books, while making his bank account a little heavier as well.
